I'm interested in pursuing a PhD in epi next year. I was wondering if a masters is necessary in order to apply for a PhD. I've read online some schools require it but other forums say the exact opposite. Could someone clear this up for me? I'm a junior in college right now with research experience at the med school and should be getting an article published sometime soon. Also, I'm wondering if it would be better to spend this upcoming summer doing more research in a lab or volunteering at my local public health office. Thanks!
