You can take the Praxis at any time.  I believe in a forum on Reddit there were some students who accidentally took it in undergrad and passed.  I have 2 Praxis Practice tests in PDF format if anyone is interested.  I can email them to you.  The closest thing to the real test as far as how it is administered is the $15-20 practice test ETS offers.  It is timed and formatted JUST like the real computer test.

I'm going to PM you my email as well. If still available. Thanks! :)

I applied to all of those schools! I got waitlisted at Appalachian State today.

I got waitlisted at app state too! I contacted Dr. Power-deFur at Longwood and she said that all letters have been sent and we will receive them shortly! Also contacted Dr. Proctor-Williams at ETSU and she said they will be sending out rounds of acceptances this week and next! Hope that helps! Did you get into radford??

Thanks!  I actually did most of the same research you did, but I forgot about the city forums here on the gradcafe.  I think maybe we have similar obsessive-checking/researching styles, hah!  I am very nervous about the conservative aspect, but I'm hoping that maybe after the 2 years I could move to the northern part of Virginia where it leans more left.  I don't really care about the college town social vibe as I am not 22 years old.  I'm worried about the schools for my kids, and job opportunity for my husband.  He might have to commute to Roanoke, or we'd commute from Roanoke... So much to consider.  (Once I hear from other schools though, it'll be much clearer what will happen).

    Hi!

Congrats on getting in to Radford, (I did too!!)

I currently go to Radford for undergrad.. it is a truly beautiful place. The professors are wonderful, encouraging, motivating, and TOTALLY willing to help through any situation.

I will admit, it's a small rural town. Not much here at all. We have to drive about 20 minutes to the nearest mall. There is a walmart, kroger, and food lion however. Ha ha! Not much else honestly. If you have any questions though, I've been here for four years and would love to talk to you!! Best of luck. :)
