So who else is still waiting? I know us Ireland folks are and those who are alternate status.
What other countries are or there still that we can commiserate with on the wait?
Congrats to all who heard from Germany!
Turkey research and ETA. This wait is so agonizing!

You should DEFINITELY put this on your resume. You weren't an alternate - you were the recipient of a Fulbright award. You could always list as "Fulbright Grant, 2016-2017 (program cancelled)."
I'm glad to know others' take on this! I thought it was odd when I was advised not too--but the idea of putting it there still feels wrong, since I didn't have the opportunity to complete the award.

Germany and UK notified--that's an exciting day! Congrats to all and sorry to the UK alternates. The UK acceptance stats are extremely daunting.
For anyone who was designated as an alternate: do you plan on listing this in your CV? I've stumbled across someone's Linked In account who listed themselves as a Rhodes Scholar Alternate. Of course these two scholarships are different and it might depend on individual circumstance, but I'd be interested to hear opinions.
I was an ETA grantee to Turkey last year, and they suspended the program before it even begun, and I was told by multiple people not to include it on my own CV.

A new applicant! Hopefully they notify us soon...I am so anxious
Best of luck! They told us SO early last year, which was so nice, so this wait has been particularly agonizing. I'm thinking of you and am rooting for you!

ETA! what about you?
Wonderful! I'm told the ETA program run this year. Were you part of the crew last year when the program was suspended? Or are you a new applicant? I applied for research this year.

OK everyone so if waiting for Fulbright notifications is giving you intense anxiety like me... this video is incredibly inspirational and helps to put things in perspective.
"There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”
I love this! I show it to my students at the beginning of every term!

I'm not waiting on Turkey, but I lived in Kadikoy, Istanbul this past summer and it was such a wonderful experience. The Turks have an exceptional sense of hospitality and, the food, omg! Sending you positive energy for your award.
Thank you! I've never been, but have been hopeful to call it home for a very long time. I was selected as a ETA Finalist for 2016-2017, but they suspended the program after the attempted coup back in July

Hi there, FYI I received word today about my research grant to Turkey. They've stated that proposals to Istanbul are not gaurenteed, and have asked that I find a different affiliate / city to conduct my research. It is unclear to me whether or not they will revoke grants that insist on staying in Istanbul.
