Hello, I have been offered an admit (with RA offer) from University X. The faculty wanted me to accept the offer as soon as possible. Hence, I accepted the offer on around 29th March. Here, acceptance means signed acceptance of RAship and also submitted intent to enroll in the university. Received the hard copy of I20 form at home address. Now, I was ready to go for the University X. But with a surprise, I received an admit from University Y (much better than X) with full funding. Now, I am interested in moving to University Y. What steps should I follow now? Questions: 1. How to deny the University X? How can I tell them to undo the intent to enroll form? 2. How to deny the Professor? What is the worse thing that can happen? 3. Will it be a problem if I have 2 I20 forms? Thank you for the help.
