Hi all,
The waiting game is killing.......
This what I received from U of A:
Your application to the Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree in the School of Public Health for Fall 2017 has been received and is being processed. Due to a higher than expected number of applications, our review process will be slower than in previous years. Please be assured your file will be reviewed in detail, and all qualified applicants will be considered for potential recruitment scholarship. We are aiming to advise all successful applicants by mid-April.
Which is different from:
Due to their back log and high applicant number this year that SUCCESSFUL applicants wouldn't be notified until Mid-April this year......
Does that mean the decisions has been made?
I don't know what you mean. "Due to their back log and high applicant number this year successful applicants won't be notified until Mid-April" is the exact same thing as "Due to a higher than expected number of applications....we are aiming to advise all successful applicants by mid-April." I don't see the difference.

Maybe U of A has to figure out their MSc students first because of advisors.

I received a rejection from Alberta but I never got an e-mail, I just noticed my status changed on Bear Tracks, did anyone else receive an e-mail? Typically the university emails a few days after changing the status but haven't gotten anything
When did you receive a rejection? Did anything change for you on the application portal?

I'm still waiting to hear back from the U of A's MPH program with a focus on health promotion. I'm so impatient at this point!
Same here! I don't have much hope at this point. Last year they emailed out my rejection on April 15, so I am expecting something soon.

@hchan @heidiwind1, I received an offer from U of A health promo MSc in late March.
I'm wondering if anyone has heard back from any MPH programs (not MSc)?

Has anyone heard back from U of A Health Promotion?

This is my second year applying to the MPH Health Promotion stream at U of A. I didn't apply to more than one last year and I didn't this year - might change my mind next year. Anyone heard back from this stream in particular?

It seems like (according to the people who have posted on this forum) that U of A has only recently moved forward with MSc degrees and no word on any MPH degrees, unfortunately! I am waiting too.
