  1. Is SIPA worth the 140K tuition for two years? The other schools I've been accepted to, Syracuse (Maxwell), and American (SIS), are half the cost of SIPA, more or less. I haven't received any funding (besides an equal amount of loans) from the schools. Any advice would be helpful
  2. I've been accepted to GSPIA, Maxwell, SIPA, and SIS (all acceptances are for International Relations programs). None of the schools have offered any funding and SIPA is generally double the cost of all the other schools (but is the best option). I'd like to focus on China. GSPIA, SIS, and SIPA all offer Asian Studies certificates. Maxwell has amazing abroad/internship programs and would be the cheapest option. Help! Is SIPA worth the 140k? Are the other programs around the same quality? Thanks!
  3. Hi guys - I know this is a common topic nowadays, but I'm having so much trouble deciding which school to go to. The following are the institutions that I've been accepted to thus far: Boston University - International Affairs (no funding info yet) University of Oregon - International Studies (Promising Scholar Award for the first year, and Graduate Teaching Fellowship for the second) Columbia University - SIPA (no funding info yet) University of Pittsburgh - GSPIA (no funding info yet) University of Washington - International Studies/China Studies(no funding info yet) Syracuse University - International Relations (no funding info yet) - I love the internship opportunities in Geneva, Beijing, and DC SO - The only school that I've received funding info from so far has been Oregon. I would get a full ride there, however, I do not believe that they have that great of a program. SIPA is obviously the best bet out of them all but I did not receive a fellowship and don't expect to receive that much from FAFSA. The other schools are definitely cheaper than Columbia but...I'm hesitant to give up the opportunity of going to such a good school. I don't know. I guess I'd just like some advice from those who are in the same boat. Thanks Oh...I guess I should say - I'm not 100% sure where I want to work after grad school. I'm open to options and am interested in a variety of specs under the umbrella of international studies.
