Got my admittance email yesterday. Still in shock.
GRE: 770Q, 670V, 4.0AW
GPA: 3.25 (Electrical engineering at a large public school)
Work Experience: 2 years as a technology consultant, 1.5 years as an engineer, 6 months of political campaign work, plus some volunteer activities.
No economics background but I had a pretty math-heavy undergraduate major.
I think I remember reading somewhere (most likely somewhere on this forum) that they rank each candidate on a scale of 1 to 4 in each of these categories: Leadership, Commitment to Public Service, Academics, Special Talent / Extraordinary Backgroud / Diversity.
I could be way off base though. Anyone please feel free to show me the error of my ways.
Just got my acceptance letter! I had to pick it up at the post office itself since they said the carrier couldn't get into my building for some reason. No funding, but I feel like this one was a long shot for me so I'm pretty thrilled to get an acceptance! Abogs, I hope you get the official word soon!
To all those who have heard back, do you mind sharing when you submitted your application? I just submitted mine a couple weeks ago and I'm curious what the turnaround is.
