Hi all. Does anyone have any news about the NETI 2018 selection? I thought it would be launched around the same time as last year. Thanks!
-
thanks, @erpayo and happy new year all
-
better this year than next, right? maybe there'll be other opportunities
-
congrats @WillYang and best of luck in finding a suitable position. sadly, for me it is a no, i've just been notified. so talk to you all next year. happy 2018!
-
so we can start thinking about the odds that next year they open up a comms track again. i certainly hope so!
-
thanks for sharing and good luck!
-
you guys are great for boosting one's morale! @Markee better christmas break than the first week of the new year, if you ask me:))
-
nor here. i find it difficult to remain optimistic
-
thanks @Markee

hi guys. separate random question: do you happen to have any insights into whether unicef hires outsiders for P4-level positions? outsiders as in candidates that obviously would be considered fit for the job but with no unicef experience. thanks.
-
well, we're only five here for this year's programme so not sure that's a high enough number for any calculations. sorry for not being too positive - i do think the selection is probably far from over, so we should stay positive and wait a bit longer
-
here yes how about you?
-
no news here either @Candleslights
-
good thinking:)
-
so sweet of you to say, thanks:)
-
you guys think we should still have some hope?
-
nothing on my end either. thanks for sharing
-
no idea. but that would also be my assumption - also using it as a way to feel better about myself throughout the waiting:))

Not me
-
Mine as well, I was expecting at least one question in my second language. And I also keep thinking my answers could have been better! And the phone line was not great... well, we shall see. Good luck everyone!! me too:) best of luck!
-
Intense is indeed the word:)
-
In my view, it's all about practice and time management. Difficult to offer any advice though as I do think relevant past professional experiences help with the two.
-
me too:) best of luck!
-
thanks both. fingers crossed to all.

i'm also waiting following the competency-based tests for communication. i found the written one ok, even without unicef experience, although very long indeed. less comfortable with the oral though, more difficult from my perspective. but overall, i thought the experience was useful. do you guys expect the results for final stage selection in october? best of luck everyone!
