I feel like the MIA and the MDEV might be more competitive then the other programs, but that´s just my impression based on the comments I´ve read in threads from previous years. As for the funding, I hear quite a lot of students at the Institute are granted some form of financial aid. But obviously most student´s don´t.

I feel the same way. I wish I could measure my chances of getting in. All I know is they usually admit between 30%-40% of all applicants. But I assume some programs are more competitive than others...

I did! I applied for the MIL. Trying not to think about it too much, though, since I probably won´t hear back from them until mid-January.
