  1. Hi,

I think I was in a similar position about a month ago. I am also a Chemistry major, and I am planning to pursue a phD in Chemistry-Biology interface filed. I got accepted to Cornell (more biology based) and Upenn (more chemistry based) bio/chem programs. Similarly, both schools check all the boxes for me. Luckily, I found one professor at Cornell who graduated from Upenn, and one professor at Upenn who did a postdoc at Cornell. They both gave me very neutral but essential views on both institutions. Check the school websites and see if you can find someone like that.

  2. Hi everyone!

I just received an offer from my dream school!  I am pretty sure I will attend that school. Right now, I also have many interviews coming up. Since schools have already arranged the flight tickets/hotel, is it too rude at this point to reject their invitations? I am thinking other applicants would love to have this opportunity. Thank you.

    NYU – Pharmacology

I was planning to apply some safe schools until I got offered a decent job recently. (BUT going to grad school is still my top choice.)

I am not a biology student, so applying to bio-program is really a stretch for me (but I really love Bio, more than Chemistry). The only bio-classes I took are molecular genetics and physiology (General Bio was replaced by AP). However, my research experiences are mostly bio-related.

Please comment on my stats, and GOOD LUCK EVERYONE (FOR those of who are having Finals week – GOOD luck with that as well)

I think I checked my emails more than 80 times – I really can’t stop.:(
