I suggest you to check your rank in your department and university.

I initiated a grant proposal for CHRP and took the lead to find the co-applicants and writing the proposal. The NOI was successful, and we're waiting for the results of the final application. I featured it in my application. My NSERC proposal also was an interface between engineering and health. I also had enough voluntary work in my application, but still didn't get it!

Who know whether there is an appeal procedure for NSERC PDF?
-
anyway, as I mentined I don't know how they select people for the award. I have a really good CV compared to other people in my area, but still didn't get it. the whole process is disappoiting anyway!

one very clear criterion to me also is "being a canadian citizenship". NOT a permanent resident. Scholar, if you don't mind are u a citizen or permanent?
-
but this hasn't been stated clearly in their criteria. They have clear wights for research and communication. by the way, I didn't PDF, just pre-approved for IRDF!
-
you know I really don't understand NSERC (REAL) criteria. Last year they sent my application to the MATH committee, while I'm a student in Industrial Engineering!!

what have you been studying for your PhD?
-
who knows whether mails arrive in Toronto earlier or London?!

wired. Let 's see what happens to one of my labmates. he has no journal paper published, only 2 or 3 conference proceedings. I'll let you know. World is unfair generally!
-
you know, I've heard it depends also on the school. Every school has a percentage of the whole awards given annually. Of course, it is more competitive at good schools.
-
you had really a good CV then. How couldn't you get it? were all the papers from your PhD? Are you an Engineering student?
-
