Not yet. I had an interview with the admission committee on Tuesday and they said decisions will be made next week.

I asked, but she didn’t mention interviews in the reply.

I emailed one of my poi two weeks ago, and they said the decisions will be announced at the end of this month.

I haven't heard anything from Cornell and UCSB... Thanks for mentioning the change of deadline. Didn't know it was Dec 1 before.

You can check the result board. I think that's where they posted it.

There's one report on the result board about interview request on Jan 19, 2018, so I figure we should wait a couple days and see.

Has anyone heard from Penn State (Mass Comm)? At least some of us should've received open house invitations last week according to the result board. Nothing from Cornell yet.

I only have one pub and some research experience but not in the areas I'm working on. I have heard it's normal not to have any pubs before doing PhD anyway, or so I reassured myself. None of these programs requires you to get an MA first right? Also, a college graduate with a bunch of research experience seems pretty competitive to me. Let's hope we all get in
