Really confused about Tennessee-Knoxville and Vandy. A few acceptances last week, and now nothing. I’d at least like a rejection soon so I can leave their websites alone. That being said, who knows how many rounds they’re doing.

Question about Vanderbilt:
Three acceptances today. If my application status remains unchanged, should I accept rejection and push it from my mind?
-
Should I assume, in light of the waitlisted few at Alabama, that I’m rejected if my application is still in the “evaluation” phase?
I’ve heard that Bama is letting in fewer and fewer, but I applied anyway.

I got an email from Mississippi that said the department would review all applications on February 16th.
That was really nice of them to send an email like that.

For shits, a month ago, I decided to finally read Tristram Shandy. It was, by far, the most bizarre book I've ever read -- almost John Ashbery bizarre. It was, dare I say, freaky... Since then, I've been trying to figure out why Lawrence Sterne thought postmodernism would be appropriate in the 18th century, but I've got nuthin'.
But more recently, I re-read Madame Bovary, and am still marveling in the perfection.
Other than that, I oddly haven't been reading a whole lot. I've been watching TV more. Don't tell adcomms
Although I’ve never read it, the scholarship I’ve used for Ring Composition talks about it. Mary Douglas believes the structure is a true ring.

Thank you all! Huge help.
Georgia State and Memphis went right under my initial radar somehow...

Virginia Tech! Feb 1st deadline; that's for the MA, however.
Oh, I got excited for a moment! I like Blacksburg. But, alas. I’ll already have one of those in a few months.

Victorian Lit. But, I’m adaptable.

Besides Middle Tennessee State & Southern Miss? Preferably in the South.
I can’t think of a faster way to check comprehensively than this... any suggestions?
