  1. For those of you still waiting to hear from G-town (via potal mail). You should contact msfs.info email address. They will give you admissions results immediately. I wish they could have told me much earlier either email or mail. They kept telling me that the letter was sent out for the last 3 weeks. I ran out of my patience, and sent my email to msfs email address. They told me the result within 5 mins.
  2. Hi Blue-sky, Which email address did you send your email out, when you contacted the school yesterday?
  3. Why didn't they send you any email or letter to notify the status? This is pretty inconsiderate, isn't it? Did they explain why they didn't?
  4. Hi All the G-Town Hopefuls - Did any of you hear from the school today? No letter for me still.
  5. Hi Killerbee We are completely with you! Let's hope that all of us will get great news from G-Town ;-)
  6. Hi Killerbees, I have a friend who works as an admission counselor, and she said that the people who receive letters late are ones of the finalists usually, and the admission commitee wants to get additional opinions and views on those applications from other professors. So, that means our applications are good enough to be on the finalist;-) Or, are we becoming bit narsistic?
  7. Hi Killerbees, I am still waiting to hear from G-town as well. When I called in a couple of days ago, they told me that they just completed the final wave, and all the letter should be sent out by April 1st. Looking at some responses from 2009 & 2008, people who got accepted/waitlisted received the letters via postal mail (not email) some time early April. So, yes I think we should still keep our hope. It is still April 2nd.
  8. What is email wave by the way?
  9. Still no mail today...... I called in the admission office, and they told me that the acceptance notice does not necessarirly come via email. The woman I spoke to said, "it is true the email waive was sent out last week and this week, but it doesn't mean that those who haven't got emails weren't accepted". I don't know if she meant those who haven't received letters can be on the wait list, or people, who were finalists in the process, will receive their acceptance letters via mail. Either way, it is so frustrating.
  10. I am holding a small but strong hope. Last year, I know several people received acceptance letters via postal mail while many other received their acceptance letters via email. So, we can still have some hope. And, in many cases, people are receiving wait list letters via mail. So, let's have our hope until the last moment!
  11. I also applied to the School of Foreign Service with an INternational Relations and Security focus, and haven't heard back from them via email or mail. Interestingly, like you did, I have received a letter from American University (SIS), saying that I am on their wait list. So, in many ways, we are exactly on the same boat:-) Just out of my curiosity, would you mind of I ask your stats (GRE) and background?
  12. Congratulation! So, you may get in shortly!!! Would you mind if I ask for your stats and background (academic/professional)?
  13. I am also still waiting to hear from G-town's MSFS. I haven't received either email or mail. I am in NY. I am wondering the scholl sends out the acceptance letters via email, and the wait list/rejection letters via USPS mail. Is there anyone here who got an acceptance letter through USPS mail? This has been painful.....
