simhod, i am sorry that you did not get it this time. In fact, I was rejected by NSERC before as well and I cannot count how many rejections I have been getting nowadays when applying for a job (academic or industry..does not matter)!. My area of specialization (wireless comm.) has become exceptionally crowded with PhDs and postdocs waiting before me, but there are not many openings. I am not a postdoc yet; I will defend my phd this month. Best wishes.

I have just received the acceptance email from MITACS. I also got the NSERC letter yesterday approving the NSERC PDF, now I am confused: which would be better to accept? Simhod, hope for the best for your application!

I applied, but heard nothing so far about the outcome. It's weird that MITACs provided no information on how the results will be communicated (Letter or email?)

That's unbelieavable....I think you might want to request copies of your application and the reviewers' gradings from NSERC. You are entitled to this due to FOIA. One of my friends last year was rejected for PDF and he requested his applications materials, turned out one of the Referees wrote a very weak letter for him.

Has anybody from West coast (BC or alberta) heard from NSERC?
