Strangely enough haven't heard back from CSUF after my interview this past week.

Congrats! I heard back yesterday too! I applied to the day program but got an offer to the extended degree program. Not totally stoked about that but it's better than nothing. Guess we'll be classmates.

And people rarely get off the waitlist apparently.

They had over 800 applicants (less than last year) but for only 130 spots for the day program. 

 

So. Freakin. Nervous. 

Thanks for that info, Leah! 800 applicants is insane! I've been waiting to hear back too. Guess I can stop hitting refresh until tomorrow at least. Haha!

With some schools/programs sending out notices already I was hoping to hear a little sooner, especially since their deadline was 2 weeks sooner than most schools I was looking at. I only applied to UW and CSUF (I'm a SoCal resident). Extended programs for both so that I can work while taking courses and doing practicum 2nd year. Figured it was the most responsible means of attending, assuming I get in to either. Sure. I have a B.S. in psychology, GPA 3.98. Social service experience: I worked as an RA for 1+ years in a child clinical psych lab. Tutored statistics students for a semester. Did a year of crisis counseling, and 3 years of leading a support group. Working now as a research coordinator for another child clinical lab. I only applied to 3 programs, all here in Seattle, because I'm limited geographically (aka, I own a home here and don't want to sell/move). Kind of frustrated by that, but hopefully some program will accept me and I'll go from there! What made you want to come to UW from SoCal?

I applied to the day program, also the day of the deadline. Hehe. I skimmed through a past year's forum and it looks like people started hearing back around mid-March -- which totally makes sense because that's what the application itself says. I'd just hoped we'd hear a little earlier than that.

I applied to UW's MSW program as well! The wait is killing me too! Argh!!
