Hello everyone,
I was recently notified that I’ve been accepted into UNR’s MSW program. I couldn’t find many recent posts about them so I made my own. Has anyone else went to UNR or been accepted there?

I don't have a good knowledge on the specialization you mentioned. But I think I can help you with the standard SOP format and you can work on it. It becomes easy when you split the topic.
Introduction paragraph- Start with a bang. Clearly state what is the specialization that you want get. Be honest and do not try an anecdote.
Middle paragraph- Write about you development as an undergraduate student and projects/thesis that you have done. Use some technical words.
Job/internship experience paragraph- Write about the nature of work and responsibilities you took up in your job/internship. Present what you learned from this experience.
The conclusion paragraph- Write about why you choose this university and the special features that you observed here. Do a small research about the professors in the university and pick the best and write about him expressing that you are very interested in learning from him.
Even though it is not in detailed explanation I tried my best to help you.

Got my denial email yesterday too. It was expected so I don't feel bad but I do realize I want to specialize in something different in social work rather than what I put in my personal statements! So I will now be obtaining a job in that new path and applying again this year.

I emailed School of Social work regarding enrollment a few weeks ago. This is the info I received :
"We will be sending your Class Codes approximately the beginning of August - the MSW Program is a Cohort System. The email will give you the names of your peers and which classes with class codes you will need to register. Once you have accepted SJSU-MSW Program your spot has been saved."

I was rejected on 5/16 from the on-campus program. They said I had good qualifications, but I think my downfall was not having enough experience. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
