I have a MA too and it's bumming me. I want to do a PhD because I'm passionate about research... Just hope I can balance the two in a way that doesn't drive me crazy...
It is a social science Ph.D but you get an M.A on the way. Seems excessive to me as well. I'll still go because it's better than nothing but needless to say I'm not thrilled about it.

I'm an international student and I have committed to the only program that accepted me. It just so happens that this program has 4 years of coursework (72 credit). I thought it was standard but I am told that usually it is less. Anyone has experience with such program ?
Why is this program more than others ? Will I still be able to do research and to graduate in 4-5 years ?
