  1. Thanks, I will definitely do all my research before heading into anything. It'd just be helpful if there was a resource where I could find these programs as to do that!
  2. Hey, yeah that's sort of why I was asking, I couldn't find a whole lot on Google. Supposedly there isn't a whole lot of difference, but I've also read that these programs are often shorter--e.g., they can be more like 3-6 years instead of 4-7. That was the nature of my interest. I think the following article makes some interesting points/distinctions, but they wouldn't really apply to me as I would intend to do outpatient therapy/testing. https://psych.csuci.edu/students/graduateschoolguide/phd-vs-edd.htm
  3. Hi everyone, So, I'm considering the idea of going for the Doctorate in Educational Psychology (Counseling Specialty) for licensure as a psychologist. I'm a bit puzzled as to how I should go about finding accredited programs, since it seems the APA website does not list EdD degrees. Are these programs accredited elsewhere? I'm also wondering if anyone can comment on insurance reimbursement rates, since I'm never sure where to go about finding this information. How does pay (via insurance reimbursement in a therapeutic setting) differ between someone with an EdD as opposed to a PhD/PsyD? Thanks a lot!
