I was wondering if I should wait to apply to phd programs, in order to bring my gpa up from a 3.4 to slightly above a 3.5. Here's some additional information about me: I'm a chemical engineering major about to go into his senior year and I plan to apply to chemical engineering programs. I have a good amount of research experience (two summers and throughout 2 school years) in my school's department of medicine. I have not taken the GREs yet. The reason I am asking is because I've heard that 3.5 is kinda like the magic number for engineering phd programs.
Any advice will be much appreciated!
