It honestly seems to depend on the university. You can always email the specific profs to determine if they're taking students in the upcoming year. This serves 2 purposes: 1) You get an answer to your question (if they reply), and 2) the profs will actually know you/have connected with you prior to seeing your application. I emailed early around June-August, but most people email around September (this is a better idea as profs don't usually know if they will take students in June haha). Good luck :)

    thank you!! :)

  2. Hi everyone,

Has anyone / does anyone know of someone who has been accepted from an alternate spot (did not interview in person) for a phd or psyd program? Essentially I have heard some folks get Skype / Phone interviews after in-person interviews were already conducted when the faculty's other choices did not work out.

This seems really rare, just wondering how rare.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi All,

Anyone used professional services to make their CV look amazing?  I seriously need some help with mine and am curious if you can recommend any good CV editing programs or people.

    Thanks!

  4. Hi All,

I am applying for doc programs in Clinical Psych this year. I am considering taking an in-person Kaplan class, but am unsure.  I've taken them three times before (then completed my masters) and my scores were only able to get into the 50%ile by the last one. I'm using Magoosh, manhattan, ets, etc. again, but am wondering if I should change it up. Anyone here go from self-guided programs to in-person and see huge results?
