Undergraduate Univer: remarkable in Vietnam, unremarkable worlddie :)). I could be Top 1, though Major: Math (Algebra) GPA: 3.84, Major GPA: 3.96 Type of Student: Vietnamese male IELTS: 8.0 (R:8.5, L:7.5, S:7.0, W:8.0) GRE General: Q: 170 V: 144 (23rd percentile, hope it would not be a disadvantage)W: 4 GRE Subject Math: 840 (85th percentile) Applying to: Pure Maths Interested in: Theoretical Algebra in general, Commutative Algebra, Homological Algebra and Algebraic Topology in particular. But I'm open to other aspects. LoRs: all three from my department, not so famous, but 2 of them seem to give a strong LoR since I worked efficiently with them. Awards/Scholarships: some unremarkable local competitions, Dean's list every semester, annual funding from a mathematic department in Vietnam, roughly 3000USD in 4 years, hope to use them all in this application. Jobs/Activities: tutored Abstract and Linear Algebra in my first and second years. Currently an IELTS tutor (would it help? I think I could have some TA experience from this) Personality: sarcastically funny guy, which noone seems to appreciate :)) Applying to Where: (Color use here is welcome) Exactly why I'm posting here! I'm a newcomer at this applying to America stuff I'd appreciate if someone can give me a list of "reach" and "match" schools so I don't spend hundreds of $ on schools that I could never get into.
