First of all, thank you for everyone that reply to me. I'm new to this forum, please forgive me for not making it clear. I'm preparing my application for Fall 2019 Master admission for biostatistics program. I'm majoring biochemistry for undergraduate study. In my junior year, I realized that i don't want to throw away my mathematical ground for the rest of life. So, here I found biostatistics that I am very interested about. Here is my profile. Undergraduate school: UCLA Majors: biochemistry Year: Senior, graduate in 2019 Spring GPA: 3.62/4.0 Courses that related: Differential calculus (A), linear algebra(A), probability theory in statistics (A), mathematical statistics (in progress), intro and intermediate in C++ (B+), Python (in progress) GRE: Haven't taken yet Recommender: 3 professor, one from Lab that I worked as volunteer before, one from professor for C++ class, one from biochemistry class Research Experience: summer program that introduce biological science people to biostatistics, Lab volunteer in a lab that study cancer, coauthor for a published paper Desired School: UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSF, UW, Emory Concerns: 1. Since my major does not have direct relationship with the master program and my GPA was not outstanding, the chance for getting into these desired schools may be low. 2. My time for preparing GRE may be not enough, and I don't know what GRE score that I need to have to make me as a strong applicant If anyone can give me some advice on how to furbish my application, that would be so nice. I'll appreciate that. Also, please give me some suggestions on which kinds of school is suitable for me to take it as the safe school.
