Hi I currently have a GRE score of V 156 (73%), Q 151 (51%), Writing 5.0 (92%) and am planning to apply for a sociology phd degree this fall. Should I retake the GRE exam after studying for a month? (Looking to schedule a test during the first week of November). I heard that unless you get an overall score of over 320 there's not much difference or no use in re-taking the exam.. and I also heard that the sociology department doesn't but that much emphasis on the scores as long as the writing score is good (which I think i fulfill that requirement). Could anyone let me know if this is true and whether or not if I should retake the exam? Feedback would be super great. Thanks and good luck to everyone applying this fall!
