  1. Greetings, I am attempting to determine my eligibility for a few different graduate schools I am looking into. I am curious how Grad Schools (specifically Law Schools) go about calculating incoming GPAs. Do they only focus on the courses that comprised the undergraduate degree or do they focus on all courses a student took during their time in undergraduate classes? I started college right out of high school, dropped out, and received an entire semester of failing grades. However, after a few years of maturing, I returned to school and completed my degree. I now have a 3.9 GPA, but, as I transferred colleges and my failing grades did not transfer, this calculation is based only on courses I took at my current college. I am concerned that the law schools I apply to will calculate my application GPA with these failing grades added in and thereby lower my incoming GPA. Sincerely, A Hopeful Law School Student
