I am very interested in becoming an SLP for individuals with Autism. I saw that St Mary's College has a dual degree option for SLP and Autism studies but its a newer program so I was wondering if anyone can give me some information on if its a well developed program or not. Thanks!
I have not taken the GRE yet but I've done well on practice exams and am taking it in April. I have experience working at a program for children with disabilities (including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ODD, and speech impairments) so I feel that will help.
Hi! I have a relatively lower GPA (3.3). My major is Behavioral Neuropsychology so my advisor thinks most schools will consider my lower GPA because it is a harder major but I am still really nervous about applying. I want to be an early intervention SLP for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I would appreciate any insight people have about programs that are worth applying for.
I would love to go somewhere southern but am open to more schools.
Thanks!
If you want to stay in Iowa, St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA has a great program and require a lower GPA because they look more at the qualities of the applicant.
