I have invited to a recruitment event at University of Virginia in the next month, but I'm not sure at all how it will work. Is it something all the applicants will attend to talk to the department about general inquires, or something that only selected prospects are invited to and each professor talk to them? As I'm living in west coast, I need to know if it's worth to cost hundreds to get there for the event... Thanks!
