On Stanford EE PhD Admission with financial aid

I think your have very rare opportunity to get fund from Stanford EE. The department distributes too much admissions without financial aids. Two years ago, one of my friend also faced with a situation like yours. He was admitted to Stanford EE without funding, and got an offer from Cornell. He decided to accept Cornell's offer and decline Stanford's admission without funding. Actually I see almost no persons obtain fundings from Stanford EE after April 15.
