Just received my rejection from OISE SCCP. Saw it coming, though I had a supervisor who was interested in having me join her lab.

Mine also says under review, and it doesn't seem like anyone has received an acceptance (at least not based on this forum or the results section)

Some programs do not have the CPA accreditation. For many, it's because they have not yet had a graduating class (new program).

For those of you who have received an acceptance, how long did it take for the official letter of acceptance to be emailed to you? I want to tell everyone about my acceptance, but don't want to do so until I have officially received the letter!

Hey! I am from windsor/ did my BA there. If you want to PM me and tell me who your PI is, I can tell you a little more about them. Honestly, every school will have good and bad professors. I have a friend doing her MA in counselling and her supervisor gives her no support. As for the program itself, they are making strides in multiple areas of psychology and there are certainly many opportunities for placements that will allow you to build the skills necessary to be a clinical psychologist. I think the biggest question is: are you interested in clinical or counselling psychology as a career, because once you start a program it is VERY difficult to switch. Also, as a student, if you feel like you are not being supported adequately by your PI, there are policies in place to protect the students and you will be able to change faculty advisors. Someone in the results page a few years back did.

I know for certain some schools do this but I can’t say which

Many schools will automatically consider you for CGS once admitted into the program; your application materials are used for the CGS application

I haven't heard anything...but someone posted that they typically don't send out interview/acceptances until March

I would highly encourage you to participate in all visiting day activities unless there is a reason you are unable to attend

Just received an interview invite for the School and Applied Child Psychology program at Western! Received an email from my POI, interview is next week!

I am in the same boat!

I am currently at Ryerson (for psych science; switching after changing my career objectives) and I was approached by my supervisor in March after the open house. There were students in the clinical stream who went through a similar situation. So there is still hope for those who have not heard.

I haven't heard from either school. As for Ryerson, people have been known to get accepted without having been invited to interview day so there is still hope for you!
