What's the likelihood of getting accepted if you're the/an alternate for a school?

Ugh, mine still says under review even though I haven't interviewed. I've already received an offer that I'm very excited about from somewhere else, but it frustrates me that these schools can't be candid with us earlier, you know? Just drop the hammer already.

Just received my official acceptance to Windsor for Child Clinical! I am beyond excited and looking forward to meeting everyone at the open house on the 8th! Thank you all for being such a supportive group. I really appreciate how lovely everyone on this thread has been throughout this whole godforsaken process ❤️ To all of you that have gotten in somewhere, congratulations! You've earned it! And to everyone still waiting, do not lose faith in yourself, you're all awesome candidates!

For all of those who have gotten that unofficial acceptance/invite to open house from Windsor, do you know when we could expect to get the official letter if we're approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies? I'm super paranoid that something is going to go wrong at that stage and I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything about when that would be sent out. Thank you!

Yeah, I interviewed there as well and haven't heard a peep. I assume that I'm either waitlisted or rejected at this point because there have been a couple acceptances (I think?) on the results page. But I'm wondering whether it's appropriate to email either the POI or the coordinator to ask about the status of my application? I wish I knew where I stood with them for certain.

I just check the thread. It's just very sad to see. Even though I haven't been a constant poster like some of you lovely people have, I've really enjoyed following this thread; it has really kept me afloat. It's such a stressful time and this is such a big dream for everyone who applied. I'm very disappointed that someone would actively be so cruel. Hopefully they're not that spiteful in real life. Anyways, very proud of everyone on this thread for not only being civil but supportive as well! Awesome stuff guys, you'll make the profession proud in years to come ❤️

Yes, I interviewed with my POI a few days before the 28th and that's the information that she gave me. If anyone has any specific questions they want answered, you can PM me

Hi there, I believe that Child Clinical at Windsor is also in the midst of making their final decisions on who they will offer unofficial acceptance to and who they will waitlist (emails haven't gone out yet). I think they had all of their Skype interviews completed by the 28th of January. ? P.s. Thank you all for your tireless posting. It's been helping me get through this process! It's very hard having people unapologetically scrutinize your worth. I wish all of you the best! And congratulations to everyone who has already gotten acceptance somewhere!
