For portfolio hosting and networking (including job postings, etc) I rather like Behance.net. Nice clean layout and a lot of professional features. For postings of artist opportunities, I use re-title.com. They have calls for art, internships, jobs, studio openings, etc - and all tagged so you can search by type. Recently got into a show in Berlin because of it!
