With a GPA of 7.75 out of 10, I'm only waiting for rejection now. Sad part is that the more they delay, the more I think and the anxiety of not knowing kicks in. I'm sure most of us feel this way.

Has anyone heard back from mechanical at UMN? The FAQ said it'll start rolling admissions from January end. A professor said that he'll recommend me to the admission committee, yet the silence is making me anxious to the point where I do nothing all day but keep checking email and portal.
Told me I was accepted ... and then followed up to say I'm actually waitlisted!

On the same boat. Prof said he recommended me thrice to the admission committee. Haven't heard back from them yet. May be on waitlist, maybe rejected.
Applied only at 3 places, all more ambitious than this one. Now looking to apply in european universities so that I do not have to waste another year.
