Hi Wilbert! Let me know if you get the scholarship. I’ve started my PhD in GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research in Kiel last year. Last year, 2 lang kami from Pinas who got the scholarship for doctoral programmes in Germany. I’m wondering why wala kayong interview this year?

my comments:
1. It’s not yet final until you sign the Acceptance of Conditions. Also, theyre finalizing everything before sending the Award Letter.
2. Duration of scholarship is one year, in the letter you will find the details that it is renewable every year.
3. Mine also was Application Submitted for a long time before it changed to Selection Made then Funding
4. They can either give you no language course, 2 months, 4 months, or 6 months depending on the need for your German institute. The location is not the same city with your university. They’ll provide pocket money during those preparatory language course.
5. Do not inform your Professor because it’s not final until the Award Letter was prepared. Youll apply for visa if you already have the letter and the Insurance Certificate which you will receive about a week after sending your Acceptance.

This is to inform everyone that I also got the Award Letter. I will be starting with a Language Course in Berlin starting June 2. Anyone who will also have their language course in Berlin? Hope to see you there!

Yes, I believe that the language course is included in the scholarship.

Hi! From which countries are you from? My guess is that you got the scholarship and you will be attending the German language course from June to September.

I’ve received a message from DAAD today asking for double confirmation whether I am willing to proceed with my application or not – to which I replied; yes! (Last message was in November I think, she mentioned about my application was complete and will be consider to go for a next round, plus the selection meeting will be on January and letter will be submit after three weeks)
And she need the confirmation before 1st March as the meeting is still on going.
btw, my current status is still: application submitted.

Riel here from Philippines. I received the same message from DAAD in Bonn. See image attached. We're on the same boat. Hope we'll be selected for scholarship! I replied and she said she'll inform us once final decision will be made.

We were interviewed by 3 people- 2 from the German embassy and one from DAAD. Yup, 2 lang kaming Filipino who got "Research Grants- Doctoral Programme in Germany". Good luck! Usually sabay-sabay release ng results depende sa region.
