Hey guys! So I'm really confused between the MS CS programs at UIUC and Columbia.
So my aim is to get a job in the industry right after my MS and not go for a PhD. UIUC has a better ranked CS program than Columbia, but Columbia is Ivy League and more known in domains outside Computer Science. Do you think that outweighs the well ranked UIUC? What will be more beneficial in the long run?
Columbia definitely has a location advantage over UIUC. Does that mean the career fairs at Columbia bring more opportunities? Or is it the same at both?
Also, I know Columbia is far more expensive and I might get a tuition waiver at UIUC but if Columbia is better as a whole for my future I wouldn't mind spending that much.
