Just found out I got a full grant to China! I'm in CT so the mail from NY probably gets here fast, but fellow China applicants should be hearing very soon!

Aiyooo... most stressful weekend ever, coming right up.

Uuuughh. And here I thought for sure letters would be out by this Friday at the absolute latest. I wonder what's taking so long for China in particular? It's not like Fulbright-Hays where they're not even sure how much funding they are getting this year, right?

So still no more word on China, huh guys? Last I heard from Jonathon was "by the end of April"...I guess maybe next Monday or Tuesday would be the latest in that case, but I really wish I didn't have to endure another weekend of uncertainty... @Shadymilkman--what else did the letter say, exactly? Definitely sounds like some kind of premature congratulations from your university as opposed to an official notice of any kind.

Hey, thanks for the encouragement. Where are you planning to be if you get the Fulbright? I'm hoping to research traditional theater in Suzhou.

Bleh, see now I'm all worried and over-analyzing due to the fact that I emailed Jonathan around the same time and he never responded. Makes me feel like maybe the coordinators don't bother replying to people they know are rejected anyway... Of course, there's probably no such pattern and they actually just respond to things depending on how busy they are/how easy the question is, but still, knowing how grad schools treat rejected applicants (don't bother informing you in any hurry) makes me a little leery... Waiting sucks.

So still no one's got anything official on China, eh?
