  1. I also got a letter in the mail yesterday (rejection) for the Laurier MSW part time on-line.  I guess they really didn't want me LOL. A generic letter about what to do to be more successful next application.  I was coming in as a registered psychotherapist; BA in Psychology and gerontology (80's average, all stats course above 80), post graduate diploma in addiction studies, and 20 + years experience in mental health and addictions.  I need on-line as I am a single mother, can't afford to leave my FT job and live hours north of any University that offers MSW.  I'm disappointed but more frustrated that when I first enquired about the program I was told that I was exactly the candidate they were looking for.  They were looking for applications with 8-9 years experience.  Not sure what I could do differently but am also oddly at peace that it wasn't meant to be.

  2. I just checked LORIS and was not accepted for Laurier's online MSW; 20 years experience in mental health and addictions.  BA in Psychology (with honours) and a post graduate diploma in addiction studies and a registered psychotherapist with CRPO.  Not sure what else I could have done to have been accepted.  Time will tell what my next steps are.

  3. I've applied to Laurier's Jan 2020 start and Laurier's May 2020 start.   As I am a single mother working full time; this is the only program I have applied to.

I am hopeful to hear soon.  I have been a bit frustrated with Laurier's admission process and delay in sending out acceptances.

I'm coming in with a BA and over 20 years experience in the field of addiction and mental health.  It's been a long time since I've been in school; so waiting not so patiently for what may or may not lay ahead.
