  1. This is my last semester as an undergrad Mechanical Engineering student (at an average state school). I'd like to apply to a top engineering school to get my masters. My GPA is a 3.1 but my GPA in the last 60 hours is looking like its going to be 3.4-3.7. My GRE scores are 163Q/160V/4W. I have done research at my school and published a paper (and am in the process of publishing another one) as a part of that work. I have also participated in a SURF at Caltech and was an author on some of the work done there. In addition to my two research experiences, I've interned at two rocket propulsion companies, started my school's rocket team (and we successfully launched at a large collegiate competition) and was president of my school's AIAA chapter. I'd like to go to an elite university (Stanford, Caltech, etc.) for my masters degree (which I can fund myself if need be), but I'm not sure if my qualifications are enough to even be considered. Do I have a chance? Or should I just focus on getting a job for now?
