I am currently at a cross-roads with what to do. I have a BA and MA in Psychology. However, I want to work as a school counselor. In NJ we need to be certified in school counseling in order to do so. My question is, is it better to get a second MA in School Counseling that will also give me the certification, or to just get into a program that only gives me the school counseling certification? Also if I were to only get the certification and not a second master's, would it be a bad idea to go through an online program? I don't want any future employers looking down on my certification because it was through an online program. Thanks in advance for any advice!!
