  2. TH Thanks for the reply Hanmyo... I have noticed another fellow got accepted in the program (the one double majoring in Phys and Applied math).. Vague guess would be that the fellow was you. Congrats if thats the case!!! I am still waiting for any news from Maryland AMSC... Cheers!
  3. Thanks dude for the reply... Ya,, UBC,,, big concern is the chance of getting into any US institution after graduation out of a PhD program in Canada. Does that partially guarantee the chance somehow?!!! Thanks any way ... Cheers...
  4. Hey guys,,,, I hope everyone finally will be gotten into their desired program,,, I indeed got stuck on deciding bw these two Math program,,, On one hand, University of British Columbia is a great school in a very livable city with fantastic climate.. On the other side, I am going to have great pure Math professor in University of Missouri (Functional Analysis field). It is worth mentioning that both schools are with descent fund. Which one would you guys prefer to pick location wise and academic wise?!!!! Cheers....
  5. Hey guys... I have received an email from UMD few days ago saying, " Your application has been nominated for further review. The AMSC admissions committee requests that you answer the following questions ... ". I have noticed that few others got the same email from AMSC as I checked the result search page. Does anyone know what this generally implies? Could this be a fairly good sign of probable acceptance? I'd appreciate any comments on this. Thanks guys... cheers
