I'm having wild thoughts. My phone was off for the afternoon, so I have actually thought to myself "What if they called, heard my voicemail message, and decided that I'm too unprofessional and changed their minds." Then I remembered that I probably won't be accepted anyway so this is literally the least of my worries. What a mental ride this has been.

I am grateful for Chicago's offer (truly beyond my wildest dreams) but I will have to turn it down because my partner was not admitted. It's a real blow, if I'm honest.
More unsolicited commentary to add to what was said: Did your partner get into Northwestern? It’s close enough to UChicago that you could still make it work by attending two different schools.

Long-time lurker, first time poster. I'm trying to focus on good things in this period of waiting. Does anyone have any ideas about the climate at OSU? It's my one acceptance so far.
