Got the call this morning from BUSTH and was accepted to the PhD program (History & Hermeneutics)! And my friend in theology & ethics got in, as well! An offer is to come later via email and details to come via post.
I cried happy tears and I'm still in disbelief!
I have a friend who is doing theology & ethics and she said they told her that she would hear today. No clue if all departments will announce today. I am hoping they will. The wait is killing me.
I heard from a friend who interviewed with BUSTH (Phd) that they would hear on Friday about their status. So, it appears that BUSTH is a week delayed than they have been historically, but there will be some answers this week.
I am honestly doubtful, as I haven't had any interview requests and one of those two (BUSTH) has been doing interviews already. The other (Garrett) is a shot in the dark. No clue on their process and they don't have a status tracker on their application portal.
Hi, total newb here. This was my first time applying this round for PhDs in Religion. Applied to Duke ThD, Vandy PhD, BU PhD, SMU PhD, and GETS PhD in Christian History (or its equivalent). I got in years ago when I did an app for a PhD in Urban History, but I had to withdraw from the offer because of a health issue.
Today was the first day I heard a peep, and it was a rejection letter from Duke DDS in the ThD program.
The waiting is miserable.
