Hi Everyone, I have been admitted to Georgia Tech analytics (on campus) and NYU MSDS. I really like both programs, so it's difficult for me to decide between the two. Georgia Tech is a lot shorter, 10 months program, and it's a lot cheaper, by around 40%. However, I feel like NYU has better placements in bigger cities with bigger firms, and I am currently working in NYC. Does anyone has any insights into these two programs? And what would you choose if you are pursing a data science career? Thanks!

@jimjamlorde - My application is in the same status. I applied back in November 2019. No interview invite, no status update whatsoever

@fl1992 May I know how long was your interview? I will have the same interview on 3/7, just want to have an idea of how long the interview might be. Thanks

I just received a rejection email from them this morning. So I would say you have a decent chance if you haven't heard back yet.

@whiteshark243 - I did not receive an interview invite, does that mean I have been informally rejected? Will all acceptance decision require an interivew?

@carolbells - Right, but I've seen so many admission results from UPenn already, even rejection ones. One person received his decision when he applied on Dec 13, when I applied on Nov 22nd. I know I missed the first deadline of Nov 15, but shouldn't that other person also be waiting?

I haven't heard anything back yet, but I have seen a lot of others either getting a decision or an interview offer. Applied: NYU Columbia Georgia Tech CMU NWU UPenn DS (Applied on Nov 22, haven't heard back) Cornell DS NC State University Is it bad that I didn't get any of the first batch of interviews? Or have they not reviewed my applications yet?
