Congratulations! Not sure if many international students here but anybody’s heard anything about how colleges are treating international applicants right now? Especially given that Trump wants to ban immigration temporarily?

Hi guys, I’ve really only applied to Columbia in the US (for various personal and professional reasons - I work in Finance) so would really appreciate if someone could help me out with the interview a bit here. I don’t come from an engineering background and have self taught programming/machine learning over the last two years to support my current role in Finance. A bit concerned as to what kind of technical questions are asked (if at all). @ilovepenguins @mpdata @david0217 - any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@priya123 I applied Feb 15th. Yes, spoke to them yesterday. Agree with @carolbells message was the same - you won’t necessarily be invited for an interview if you get in. So guessing I’m still under review!

@david0217 congratulations! I haven’t heard anything from them yet so I’m sure it’s a great sign that you have! Can I ask when did you submit your completed application by?

@carolbells got it, thank you! Do you know if they interview all prospective candidates? And if so, when do the interview invites go out typically? And are they technical interviews?
