I haven't been admitted yet, but I was able to meet twice with my advisor, and I had a phone call and email communication with the DGS.

This is my second choice professor (even though the first and second are actually both my first choice as both of them work on subjects very close to my research interest, though with different emphases). I never contacted any of them though two of my recommenders know them personally.
Ok. Both professors i listed in my application are on leave. So, I just have to wait then. Anyway, congrats on your acceptance.

Did you email your POIs during the application process or just listed them in the application?

Are there any others applying for MA programs? I applied for East Asian Studies, but I hope to later go on and get a PhD in Anthropology. It seems like a lot of people here are applying to PhD programs.
Hello, I am applying to MA programs as well. I already got an acceptance email from UCLA. I'm just waiting for the official admission offer.
1 down and 4 more to go!

Hello everyone! Congrats everyone on your acceptances. I'm heading to UCLA for an MA this fall.
I'm also born and raised in Chicago. I'm pretty excited to finally leave the city and this terrible weather.
