Hi, I want to ask you how much grades matter in the PhD school? I currently have a 90.50% CGPA, and I am doing three jobs on the side. No matter how much I try, I can't get more grades. People told me to leave the jobs, but I have to do the jobs because I have to pay for my family expenses. I am the sole earner in the family. Luckily I have a few publications under my belt, and also I have SSHRC CGS-D. But I am always scared that my CGPA is lower than other PhD students in the cohort. I am a first-gen student, so not sure how academia works in the long term. I want to stay in academia, so just asking for advice I really appreciate any help you can provide.
