  1. Oh! Thanks! Academically, I think I have a strong profile so I am leaning on that mostly, especially considering the change in field.
  2. Hi everyone A prospective international applicant here. Unsure about applying to HKS because of an engineering background and 0 professional or academic background in PP or IR. Would be really helpful if I could get some insights on the kind of profiles sent.
  3. Hi I am also from India and am planning to apply to Munk. Considering the high costs, do you think it's worth applying? Also, I do not have a social sciences background so I am not too sure of going forward.
  4. Hi guys Stumbled upon this post about Columbia SIPA. Am planning to apply next year and thus wanted to get an idea about the kind of profiles successful applicants have. I am unsure about applying due to a lack of academic or professional experience in a relevant field and would love to hear from you all. I had got a chance to participate in some fairs and talked to their representatives but only got some generalized information and page links, so personal experience would be very helpful.
  5. Hi I am planning to apply at Sciences Po next year but have confusion about the major differences between the Public Policy and International Relations. From what I've inferred, PP is more quantitative in nature than IR. One disadvantage I have is a lack of background in the field, both academic and professional and hence am unsure if I should even apply in the first place. I did bachelor's in engineering and have been working as a data science engineer for more than a year now.
  6. Hi! Is there anyone here who got into GSPIA or applied there with a non humanities/non social sciences background? I've been reading this thread and it seems like a really interesting program especially in terms of cost and career. But the admission requirements mention a bachelor's in a relevant field.
  7. Hi everyone! I really want to understand how different international affairs and public policy, as graduate courses, are. I am planning to pursue master's in either of the courses but haven't really been able to understand how different the career paths are for each. From what I've learned so far, it seems public policy focuses much more on quantitative skills like statistics, data and economics than IA. Moreover, some people have remarked that IA is too general or vague, especially in terms of profession. It would be really helpful if any of you could share your own experience.
