  1. and @milara would join but I don't have facebook or twitter.
  2. I am sorry you didn't get it....you were so close.
  3. I would be interested.
  4. and @whytrianglesi was also taken aback by my capability score. i have several publications including first-author, fellowships, scholarships, *shrugs*
  5. Congratulations to everyone whose research was funded! My application was not funded: Committee 4A My score: 4.24 Applications:88 Fellowships Offered:18 (20.5%) Fellowships Not Offered: 70 (79.5%) Score of last funded application: 4.72
  6. The times may have something to do with time zones, too.

  8. @milara no, that is not too personal [for my standards]. i have never thought of the promise as anything but a supervisor driving home the point that the goal of a tenure-track position takes years to attain (if it happens at all) and that it's particularly important that marginalized people push through if they can. @DevsChicksame here.
  9. Plan B is to do short-term contract work as a result of connections from current and past PDFs. I promised my graduate supervisor that I would keep trying for a tenure-track position for 4 years so I have a few more years of these types of applications ahead of me. Once those 4 years are up (and I expect I won't have a tenure-track position at that point, because....current market), I will be looking into industry-type jobs. I want some stability as I am hitting my mid-30s, would like my mental health to not decline this rapidly, etc etc.
  10. My guess is Friday, too @milara. I also suspect they sent the email to ward off emails asking when the results are coming as we approach "the end of February". Schrödinger's cat of academia.....good luck to all!
  11. @milara I would say 47k euros is very competitive on the canadian market. I left a PDF that paid approximately that much for a PDF that pays 45k CAD. The decision was not easy as it was a substantial pay cut, but the research is more aligned with my own agenda, so compromises had to be made. It is not easy and not everyone can afford that (frankly, I am not sure I can, but here we are). I agree with some of the other posts that SSHRC postdoc funding needs to increase.
  12. Hi all! I have also submitted in Psychology. Good luck!
