  1. Undergrad: Ivy w/ Grade inflation Major: Mathematics GPA: 3.9 Student Type: American Asian Male Courses: Lower division courses: Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra (A+), Multivariable Integration (A-), ODE (A) Upper division courses: Linear Algebra (A), Applied Statistics (A+), Intro to Real Analysis (COVID Quarter, no letter grade), Honors Real Analysis (A), Introduction to Topology and Geometry (A), Measure Theoretic Stochastic Processes (A), Complex Analysis (A), Measure Theory (A-), Discrete Probabilistic Methods (A), Galois Theory (A), Groups and Rings (A) Graduate courses (All Master's level unless otherwise indicated): Data Analysis and Data Mining (A), PhD Level Probability with Measure Theory I and II (A, A-), PhD Level Bayesian Statistics 1 and 2 (A, A), Mathematical Statistics (A), Stochastic Processes 1 and 2 (A, COVID Quarter), ANOVA and Linear Models Theory (Credit) Research Experience: 2 years of research with a professor about phylogenetic tree inference. Submitted a preprint. Also have an honors thesis on stochastic processes, and various expository papers in classes I've taken. Rec Letters: I plan to get letters of recommendation from (1) a well-known professor that I did my honors thesis in stochastic processes on, (2) a lesser-known biostatistics assistant professor that I did 2 years of research with, and (3) a letter from a professor whose Bayesian statistics classes I've taken. I have not taken the GRE yet, as I'm applying in the following year. I'd like to know what schools I'm competitive at, though. My main concern is that I declared math and decided I wanted a PhD all in my junior year, so I had a pretty late start at taking classes, getting stuff in order for applications, etc.. Also, my school has a lot of grade inflation; I'm not sure how this factors into admissions?
