    @Chicago Guyhow was your interview?

I heard that neither admitted nor denied candidates receive interview requests - only those on the fence.

Did you get any ideas how the process was unfolding?

    Let us know!

Really?  I always thought interviews were issued out for candidates who are shortlisted? I also heard source (in Yale) that Yale's policy was to require all admitted candidates to be interviewed?

I really hope that what you heard is true because I am here burying myself in a completely demoralized spirit as I still haven't even receieved a single interview invitation :((

Hi! I wonder anyone has received interview invitations for Princeton, and if so, what subfield? Is interview part of the process for admission for the Asian religion track? Thanks!

Hi! I was wondering the same thing for Asian religion track for Princeton as well!

Mine either. I just read a tweet from a econ professor in Umich talking about how insane the application is this year. He basically targeted on the PhD but I assume it's the same for masters. Just so many qualified applicants.

    Oof.

I'm anxious everyday. Gees. Masters do not even have the interview invitation so that I have no idea how my app was weighted.

DO you think this year will be more or less competitive in masters? I saw others asked the question in another thread.

Same, I am having sleepless night :( I think the results for some results might be out this early-mid February according to some of the schools' websites. But, from what I heard, Masters application usually don't entail interview.

    How insane is insane?

Are there any fellow applicants hoping to pursue a PhD program at the National University of Singapore 2021/22? I've applied for a PhD in Geography and had my admission interview in November. I still haven't received any updates on the admission evaluation since then. What about you?

    Hi,

I am not a PHD applicant but a Master applicant for NUS History. I also had my admission interview in November. During the interview, I asked them about the result release and they said it'll be from mid-Feb to early March. Not sure whether is this the same throughout FASS? Hope you are coping well with this long wait!

Oooo nice selection! I’ve heard great things about Toronto’s program and know a few people who did their MA there. And I didn’t accept the offer; I just got notified via email that OSU accepted me :) sorry if that was misleading! Still waiting to hear from others

No worries! I'm happy for you that you are getting your first offer :) Meanwhile, I'm just praying for just any single acceptance T_T

What have y’all been doing to kill time? Any new hobbies lol?

I just started my last semester, get to meet some friends and try my best not to swerve into the topic of application (Covid situation in my country is under-control so I get to have face-to-face lessons and meet-ups). But, most of the time is just reading and reading, and maybe watch some drama (finally catching up on 麒麟がくる ). How about you? What are you up to?
