I found out that I was waitlisted at Carleton’s MPPA, they said that they’d look again after March19th when people decided their offers from the first round... Anyone with any experience in this? Does the waitlist move around a lot?

Question. I’m hoping on getting into Carleton. Would be my top choice. I’m not sure if I’d be required to take microeconomics, and I think I’ll be credited for Macro though. However, my issue is that I’d have to take these course(s) during the summer and my summer enrolment date at my home institution is this coming week. Is it worth emailing them to see what update Carleton can provide to me? Or should I just wait it out. I don’t want to be harassing admissions hahah

I applied to Carlton early Jan and moved quickly as well to “recommended for assessment”. I’m stressed because I heard there were more applications this year than normally in general for grad school. I applied to a Masters in Political Management too at Carleton and they said that they received more than usual this year, so it may take some time but that they are “looking at them”.

Should I be nervous? Mine still says “recommended for assessment” at Carleton. I keep heavily checking! Congrats to everyone that’s heard answers so far. Also, my application for Queen’s still says “application submitted” is that weird? Thanks for any tidbits ☺️

Hi guys, does anyone typically know when admissions start rolling for for UOttawa and Carleton for their public admin masters? I’ve also submitted an application to Concordia too for their MPPPA. All application have been submitted for Fall 2021.

I know how you feel. I was rejected from Carleton last week officially after being on the “waitlist”. Unfortunately, this year was a weird year to apply for grad school
. There was at least a 30% increase in applications due to the pandemic! I’ve heard that a lot of people who would have normally gotten in under normal circumstances would be disappointed this year. I would say try again or gain that work experience need to get you to the next level! Don’t get discourage, definitely try again
